Position overview CDEV is hiring a Senior Associate to join its nimble team of highly experienced professionals. The Senior Associate will report to a Vice President of Commercial Diligence and Strategic Advisory in the Execution and Advisory team. The Senior Associate is expected to work across the Executive team. The selected candidate will be based in either Toronto or Ottawa, currently with a hybrid work option.ResponsibilitiesConduct financial, market, commercial, and valuation analysis to support diligence, advisory mandates, and decision-makingBuild and review financial models, scenario analyses, and assessments of business performance, risks, and value driversSupport strategic reviews of government-owned assets, Crown corporations, programs, and subsidiariesDevelop strategic options, briefing materials, presentations, and reports for senior management, government stakeholders, and other decision-makersSupport transaction execution, including acquisitions, divestitures, financings, deal-term evaluation, diligence coordination, and review of third-party materialsConduct industry, market, customer, competitor, economic, regulatory, and policy research, including primary research where requiredSynthesize complex findings into clear insights, implications, and recommendationsCoordinate with internal teams, external advisors, counterparties, legal, financial, policy, and Government of Canada stakeholders to advance workstreamsManage projects and priorities within area of responsibility to ensure timely delivery and well-organized documentationContribute to process improvements, analytical tools, templates, diligence practices, and team knowledge sharingProvide coaching to Analysts and Interns, as requiredEducation, key skills and attributesUndergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field4?8 years of experience in investment banking, consulting, private equity, corporate finance, or a related fieldStrong financial modelling, valuation, analytical, and risk-assessment skillsExperience supporting transactions, diligence, or complex advisory workProficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Bloomberg; Power BI, VBA, coding, or other digital skills are assetsAbility to synthesize complex information into clear insights, reports, and presentations for senior audiencesStrong communication, presentation, stakeholder-man- Emplacement Toronto, ON
