<p>Interested in a French contract with the <p>Ottawa-Carleton District School Board?<p>We want to hire you!!This posting is open to approved OCDSB Elementary Occasional Teachers & External Applicants. The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCDSB) will be hiring Teachers qualified in FSL Part 1 for Contract and Long Term Occasional assignments to address the growing needs of our French programs for the 2025-26 school year. Please do not apply to this posting if you currently meet the following criteria: <p> - on our Occasional Teachers roster and have been French assessed (F). <p> - on our Occasional Teachers roster, have FSL Part 1 qualifications and intend to have your French assessed in February 2025 (whether this is your initial screening or if your previous assessment was unsuccessful and you wish to be reassessed). A separate email communication will be sent to you prior to April 1st so that you can express your interest in this opportunity prior to the commencement of the Boards annual staffing process. Occasional Teachers without a successful French assessment will be contacted in February 2025 to complete an oral/written assessment.Candidates invited to apply via this posting are: <p> - OCDSB Occasional Teachers who will have FSL qualifications by August 31, 2025. <p> - External candidates (who currently have FSL part 1 qualifications or will have by August 31, 2025). <p> - Current OCDSB Occasional Teachers that will be FSL qualified by August 31st will be required to complete an OCDSB French assessment. External candidates will be interviewed and will complete an OCDSB French assessment. Screening is anticipated to occur in February/March. Placements into assignments will occur in May/June 2025. Re-locating French contract teachers are invited to apply to this FSL pool posting and will be interviewed and will complete an OCDSB French assessment. All applicants will need to be in good standing with OCT.The deadline to apply to the 2025-26 FSL Staffing Pool is <p>11:30 pm on February 28, 2025.Successful applicants to this posting will be assigned to one or more of the following for September 2025: <p> - A permanent contract position with OCDSB. <p> - A Long Term Occasional assignment with OCDSB for the full 2025-26 school year. <p> - The OCDSB Occasional Teachers Roster. All questions should be directed to otlistelementary@ocdsb.ca noting Elementary French Recruitment in the subject line. This email address will be monitored and all questions will be answered.Interviews:<p>Candidates for the FSL Pool will be screened as follows:<p>Google Meet interviews for external applicants (candidates new to the Board).<p>Interview Stream for internal applicants who only require a French assessment. <p>Candidates already on our Occasional Teacher List that have not been French assessed or were previously unsuccessful in their French assessment will be sent an electronic file with pre-recorded interview questions. Candidates will be provided with a specified period to record their responses and to submit them to the OCDSBCandidates will be invited to an interview only if they meet the conditions listed above.
